"Flirting parsley"

This work is painted on canvas using oil painting technique. Parsley is a hero of Russian folklore. The image of a life-loving, resourceful jester, with whom various stories happened, has always attracted the attention of people.
Parsley, dressed in a bright suit, is depicted at the moment of courting a "lady of the heart". I drew inspiration from folk art: popular prints, the work of artists of the early 20th century: Natalia Goncharova, Mikhail Larionov, artists of the World of Art association.
Through the plot with Petrushka, convey the daring, cheerful folk spirit, the state of the holiday, fair.
