Khurshid Ziyakhanov was born in 1958.
In 1987 he graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute, Department of Book Graphics. Since 1987 he has been working in editorial offices and publishing houses as a graphic artist. Regular participant of republican, regional and international exhibitions.
The originality and originality of Khurshid Ziyakhanov's talent began to emerge in the 1990s, when the artist fully devoted himself to painting. He quickly evolved, finding his purely individual line in the spectrum of contemporary painting in Uzbekistan. The works of this period, presented at the exhibition, reflect the formation of the artist's handwriting, which took place on the way of free dialogue between the trends of avant-garde of the 20th century and the rich traditions of folk art.
Attracting such different artistic ideas, Khurshid Ziyakhanov found an interesting interpretation of surrealism and cubism to express the poetic metaphors of the East, historical and mythological subjects.
In the paintings of recent years, devoted to musicians, folk characters, wars, dervishes through bright, bold colors, exquisite harmony of forms and avant-garde deformation of plastic as if coming to life centuries-old traditions of the East, which this modern master develops with talent.
