Frans Franken 1 (1542, Herentals - 1616, Antwerp). Brother Jerome 1, he studied under Frans Floris, and then became a citizen of Antwerp as a free master in 1567 and Dean of the painters ' Guild in 1588. Most of his paintings, small in size, written in bright colors and very elegant in its shape, dates back to the art of his teachers and reminiscent of scenes his brother, Jerome 1.
