Description of the artwork «"Old Berkutchi. Hunting the wolf with a golden eagle"»
Hunting with the golden eagle has ancient roots. The art of hunting, in which the strong bird takes the lead and the hunter serves only as a helper, is traditional in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. Even wolves are hunted with trained golden eagles. Having found a wolf, a hunter releases a golden eagle. The bird rises to a high altitude, sees its prey and falls down quickly, right on the wolf. When the hunter reaches the place of the fight, they see a defeated foe with a golden eagle perched proudly on its back. All that remains is to kill the beast. Colored pencil, paper. Original wooden frame. The picture will take an additional 7-10 days to be processed at the Russian customs.
