Berdsk amateur painter.
Pyotr Mikhailovich became seriously interested in painting in the early 50s, when he was in his early 20s. Then he was influenced by the work of the artist Yudin, whom he considered his teacher. Amateur painter Peter Kopeikin's paintings are often exhibited at various exhibitions of the Berdsk City Museum. During his life, the artist wrote more than 3,000 works. Some of them were presented to the Berdsk Museum. His admiration for the nature of his native land he expressed in his paintings. In oil and watercolor he depicted the beautiful moments of the seasons, day and night, dawn, dusk, fog. Each picture of the painter is filled with love and light. Even from the winter landscapes of the artist reeks of incredible warmth. Pyotr Mikhailovich was trained as a cook, says Marina Yaneeva, an employee of the Berd museum. For many years he worked in the restaurant of the House of Scientists in Akademgorodok in Novosibirsk. He was the personal chef of the founder of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Mikhail Lavrentiev. Pyotr Kopeikin opened one of the first restaurants in Berdsk - "Siberia". In 1960-1997 Peter Kopeikin participated in various exhibitions: group and personal. Regional, republican and all-Union levels. Some pictures of Kopeikin occupy a worthy place in private collections. Not only in Russia, but also abroad: Japan, France and other countries. Pyotr Mikhailovich always said that thanks to painting and love he lives and overcomes difficulties of life.
