Biography and information

Maritime painter.
Born in 1975 in Sochi, Krasnodar Krai. In 1997, graduated from the Art and Graphic Department of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. Herzen. Solo exhibitions in Gatchina, St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. It so happened that the first and brightest impressions of my life were related to the sea. I was born and spent my early childhood in the south, on the Black Sea coast. Since then, the sea has been a constant source of inspiration for my art, although I now live in Gatchina, not far from St. Petersburg. When I studied at art school I got very seriously interested in and began to study the works of Russian marine painters: Aivazovsky, Silvestr Schedrin, Bogolyubov, Lagorio. In their art I see high examples of both technical skill and the embodiment of consonant to my understanding of artistic ideas. My works are connected with the works of these artists. I copied a lot of their works, mainly by Aivazovsky, so there are copies among my paintings, as well as works based on those artists' plots. I try to reinterpret their legacy creatively and at the same time create my own works. Besides purely nautical views, I have landscapes, but as a rule they are still in one way or another related to the portrayal of water.
