Obverse: Death in English cap and smoking pipe, bent and weathered Marianne in mortal warfare, with her hair loose and wearing a Liberty cap (France). On the border of Verdun 1917. A little exercise.
Reverse: A vignette consisting of a human heart under a Phrygian hood, pierced by a pin and bleeding, with Clemenceau's head. Also a blazing torch of hatred, myopia glasses, and a dying laurel branch. In the exergue "And the ruhiga flies on the Rhine" (And the Rhine flows quietly). K - G to the left and right of the vignette.
