Adoration of the Magi

In the painting The Adoration of the Magi, I talk about Joseph's reflection on what is happening. The painting depicts two worlds. The familiar world, where Joseph is surrounded by his carpenter's tools, donkey, cow, dog and his faithful guardian angel, and the sacred world, where the newly born baby turns out to be a god-man, directly connected to the Creator of all things, Mary - the Virgin Mary, and also some obscure magicians came. In the story of the Magi, I must say, I have always been confused by the question: what gifts can be brought to the Almighty? Therefore, in my interpretation, the Magi receive gifts from God, namely Wisdom, Intelligence and the union of their Knowledge, corresponding to the Kabbalistic sefirot Hochma, Binah and Daat.
