Valerievna Gamova

Russia • born in 1987
Lena Gamova was born in the south of the USSR on May 27, 1987. Her childhood was full of travel: the family stayed in Dushanbe, Kiev, Belgorod and the Murmansk region. Eventually in the middle of 2001 Lena moved to St. Petersburg, where in 2005 she graduated with honors from high school and entered ITMO University, majoring in Computer Engineering.

Over time, she became fascinated by painting and the study of art theory and history. Now she is studying at Synergy University to become an art history specialist. She also continues to paint in oils, acrylics and tempera. She has no art education and prefers to develop her skills independently.

Previously, Lena was known by the surname Kuts, but then she decided to bring back to life the surname of her beloved grandfather, Lev Gamov (a geophysicist who had a passion for creative photography, which may be why Lena also had an affinity for creative work).

january 10, 2020 received the status of "Member of the Union of Artists of Russia

In 2017, on a walk through the city, she began experimenting with the camera, after which interesting images were born, which became the prototype of subsequent paintings in the "City in the Dance" series.
