Yakovlevich Asaba

Asaba Anatoly Yakovlevich (1943-1986) was a Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born near Feodosia. Graduated from the Grekov Higher Art School (1973). Belonged to the non-conformist movement of the 1970s. Especially characteristic of this author are portraits: models deepened in their own world, with complex psychological characteristics. Closely collaborated with N. Novikov. He lived and worked in Odessa. The works of the artist are kept in private collections in Ukraine, Russia and Europe.
