Description of the artwork «Winter roses»
The work was done as an experiment. Watercolor on canvas for inkjet printer. In addition to other techniques (acrylic, oil) canvas for the printer has shown the right to life in watercolor. The paint lays down confidently, the tonal transitions work well. Similar to working on watercolor canvases with acrylic primer. However, there are peculiarities. In particular, when working on wet canvas with too much water you can see the apparent texture of the canvas, i.e. the paint stretches along the threads of the canvas. This creates an additional decorative effect, a certain uniqueness of technique, which I suppose should be paid attention to. We should especially mention the complete indifference of the material to water. Unlike any paper it does not warp when exposed to water. It does not need to be pre-stretched or glued to cardboard. I think it's because of the primer, which has been specially made for printing with water ink on an inkjet printer. In short, the material turned out great, and the experiment was quite creditable.
