The work serves as an illustration to the author's poem of the same name from the cycle "Signs".

Signs. Capricorn

In the midst of the devil's paths
Down, up, sideways
Walked slowly, without a hitch
The beast of magic is Capricorn.

The horns of the propeller are Saturn's ring,
The gas of centuries on the beard.
Blood boils. The Huns have rushed by.
Heading west, following the star.

A raven with black wings
Fears are driven above ground.
Behind the mirror shields,
Like behind tank armor

Hidden until time, until the deadline
The light of the violet dawn,
And burns lonely
Our lives are altars.

And in the notabene notebook
Capricorn celebrates
Where, when, what shift
And who gets to pull the trigger.
