There is no better way to capture a scene than to sketch it live, and there is something very believable about the result. It will never be a photographic representation, but the spirit of the scene is evident, and the very essence of the subject is captured in a way that photography can never.

I sit in the "Lolita" cafe, where the Tbilisi bohemia goes, and wait for my order, sipping water with lemon and painting a view across the street. At the next table sat young Georgian girls kekelochki, lolochki, no older than adolescence. They are flirting with the waiter who ordered a cocktail with alcohol! vah !! Kekelki, honestly.

The viewer's eyes seem to shine through the foliage, where our heroines and the kitchen are visible in the distance.
I used mixed techniques: graphics and watercolors.

This work is perfect for interiors in pastel colors, in a Provence style interior or just for a white wall.
