Oleg Tistol (Ukr. Oleg Tistol; b. August 25, 1960, Nikolayev region, Ukraine, USSR) — Ukrainian conceptual artist, one of the leaders of "Ukrainian new wave".

Oleg Tistol was born in the village of Vradiivka in Mykolaiv region, in the family of Mikhail Fedorovich Tistol, scientist-agronomist.

In 1970, his mother, a Bulgarian (Tistol) Valentina Sergeevna was appointed the chief of regional management of culture and Oleg with his parents moved to Nikolaev. His artistic education begins in 1972 in the children's art school, which opened in Nikolaev at the initiative of his mother. In 1974, Oleg comes in the Republican art high school them. T. G. Shevchenko at the Department of painting and went to Kiev.

In 1978-1979 he worked as a painter and decorator in the Nikolaev Vladimir Popov. From 1979 to 1984 studies at the Lviv state Institute of decorative and applied art.

From 1984 to 1986 served in the Soviet Army in/HR Makarov-1, 31600, where he met with Konstantin (Winnie) Reunov.

In 1988, married the painter Marina Skugareva.

Participating in the 1st Soviet-American exhibition "Soviart" Oleg Tistol meets with the artist Dmitry Cantor who offered, who invites him to Moscow squat "Furmanny lane". In late 1988 Tistol and Reunov, in collaboration with curator Olga Sviblova begin to exhibit their works in Glasgow, Reykjavik, Helsinki. From 2002 to 2009 working with the curator Olga Lopukhova. (A joint project — "Vladimir Popov" (2009))

Since 1993 lives and works in Kiev.
