Description of the artwork «Glorious victory»

Diego Rivera was a convinced communist and party member; in 1927 he even came to the Soviet Union to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the October Revolution. In 1956, the artist again visited the USSR. Diego Rivera gave his paintings to the Land of Soviets, including the monumental canvas "Glorious Victory", which is in the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin. It was only by luck that in 1954 the ill-fated exhibition of works by Mexican artists in Poland did not get there: on the wave of the success of the exposition in the National Art Gallery of Zakhenta, the works were sent on tour in other countries - to the Soviet Union and even to China. After this, the important work of Frieda Kahlo “The Wounded Table” disappeared - only recently a shaky hope appeared find a picture.
