"Black Women" Mikaleyn Thomas- The first large-scale solo exhibition of the artist in Canada, organized by the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto) and the Center for Contemporary Art of New Orleans.

The exhibition presents a bold collection of bright Thomas paintings, photographs and specific objects that explore how black women are represented in art and folk culture.

Mikaleyn Thomas works are in many collections and museums (at the Akron Art Museum, the Chicago Art Institute, the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the International Center for Photography, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston, the National Portrait Gallery, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and many other respected institutions).
