Sergey Zaryanko. To the 200th anniversary of the birth

The State Tretyakov Gallery presents a chamber exhibition “Sergey Zaryanko. To the 200th anniversary of the birth ", dedicated to the anniversary of the artist.

Sergei Konstantinovich Zaryanko (1818–1870) - an amazing portrait painter, master of interior genre, also wrote icons, performed miniatures.

Portraits Zaryanko, perfectly conveying similarities, drawn with amazing accuracy, including the smallest details, made a great impression on contemporaries and were demanded by customers.

Sergei Konstantinovich made an enormous contribution to the development of the national art school, not only as a painter, but also as the author of a number of works on the theory of art and teaching methods. He taught drawing in various educational institutions. In 1856, the artist received the post of inspector and senior professor at the Moscow School of Painting and Sculpture, where he studied the VG. Perov, V.V. Pukirev, I.M. Pryanishnikov, V.E. Makovsky.

The collection of the Tretyakov Gallery contains nine paintings by the master, which are presented at the exhibition. Complements the exhibition portrait of SK. Zaryanko brushes his student A.M. Kolesov.
