Unique exhibition “The State Tretyakov Gallery. Masterpieces of painting 1750-1850. "held in the halls of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia.

The first hall is dedicated to the portrait of the XVIII century. On the canvases, executed by unsurpassed painters, we will see representatives of the Romanov dynasty, as well as famous people of that time. There are also many chamber portraits in the exposition. Two portraits by Karl Bryullov, presented at the exhibition, are endowed with an unusual pictorial gift and brilliance of the artist's craftsmanship.

The second hall is called “Moscow and Petersburg”. Among the exhibits are outstanding works by F. Alekseev and M. Vorobyov, dedicated to two Russian capitals — ancient Moscow and the new St. Petersburg.

In the third hall, visitors will see the "country of high inspirations" - Italy, where Russian artists spent a lot of time. The paintings by S. Shchedrin, A. Ivanov, N. Chernetsov and V. Raev immerse the viewer in the special romantic atmosphere of the Italian cities of Rome, Florence and Naples.

And in the last hall, “From Romanticism to Biedermeier,” the change of artistic trends is reflected.
