Victor Kudin. Landschaft

Exhibition November 22 − December 16, 2018
The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko presents the exhibition of Viktor Kudin "Landschaft". This project originated in Germany on the river Lubich. In the early 90s, the artist worked in a German architectural bureau and went to sketches. Subsequently, in the winter sketches and river landscapes there was a taste of the winter German landscape. The exhibition consists of works made in ink and watercolor. Viktor Kudin surprisingly manages to choose from the images of the surrounding world the most important, the most characteristic, leaving only the essence, the quintessence, discarding the superfluous.

“Around the same period, experiments began with Chinese ink on canvas — a philosophical understanding of black and white winter, like our black and white life. These two themes merged into a single sense of the landscape, into a single inner garden, ”says Victor Kudin.

The artist was born in 1950, he graduated from the architectural department of the Kiev Civil Engineering Institute. Currently working in the field of architecture, easel painting, graphics and photography. Honored Architect of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, chairman of the cartoonist club "Archigum", head of the creative architectural workshop "Kudin". Author of 18 solo exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.
