Gallery Chambers Fine Art presents a personal exhibition of Shi Chun
"Hidden figures". The exhibition includes fifteen works created over the past three years. These are ten oil paintings, two watercolors and three engravings. Shi Chun is known for his unique painting method. He synthesized several art forms and combined them. The painting technique of the artist is a combination of classical painting and modern art. Shi Chun uses exquisite techniques while maintaining his style.
Shi Chun was born in 1963 in China, in 1987 he graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Academy of Arts of Hubei Province. He was part of the "new generation" of artists that appeared in the 1980s, was widely recognized in China for his photo-realistic paintings. The main theme of Shi Chun's paintings is the image of the human body. He often puts models in unusual spaces. The artist lives in Beijing and is the vice-dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University.
