Pablo Suarez. Plebey daffodil

The Museum of Latin American Art in Buenos Aires presents a retrospective of one of the outstanding Argentine artists Pablo Suarez "Plebeysky narcissus". The exhibition contains 100 works, including paintings, drawings, objects and sculptures, as well as archival materials.

Pablo Suárez was born in 1937 and died in 2006. In his work he used a variety of materials, media and techniques, including painting, sculpture for dialogue with the outside world. His first solo exhibition was held in 1961 in Buenos Aires. In the 1960s he became a supporter of avant-garde art, in the 1990s he influenced artists associated with the Cultural Center Ricardo Rojas, where he worked as a teacher. In 1987 he received the Gunther Prize, in 2000 he moved to Uruguay. He died in Buenos Aires.
