Anna Mironova. Space

Exhibition December 18, 2018 − January 18, 2019
The Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art Korsakov hosts an exhibition by Kiev artist Anna Mironova “Space”. The project is three-dimensional: in addition to static paintings on the walls, there are objects that hang in the middle of the hall. The author draws mainly with a marker or a pencil. She says it helps to convey texture, movement, wind and grass noise.

A distinctive feature of the works of Anna Mironova is her special research interest in nature, through the images of which she translates not only her own, but also her collective experiences. The artist masterly works with the detail, enclosing it in the appropriate context and allowing the “part” to take the place of the “whole”.

“I do not share creativity and my life, this is something that is constantly closely intertwined. I really like minimalism, in which you can say everything with one touch of a pencil, therefore, I choose this technique most often. With each job, I open up even more possibilities, this is a process that absorbs ... In art, I try to convey my own state, feelings, mood, that is, again, I and my work are one whole, ”notes Anna Mironova.
