Alexey Fedorovich Fishchenko

The Kharkov Art Museum hosts an exhibition of graphic works of the Honored Art Worker, People's Artist of Ukraine Alexey Fedorovich Fischenko (1920-2010). The exhibition includes 42 works from the collection of the son of the master, Dmitry Alekseevich Fischenko, as well as several graphic sheets from the collection of the Kharkov Art Museum. All presented works were made in the technique of colored linocuts. The exhibition was organized jointly with the Museum of Ukrainian Painting (Dnipro).

Alexey Fishchenko was born in 1920 in the Cherkassy region. Member of the Second World War. Awarded with military awards. He graduated from the Odessa Art School, Kiev Art Institute. He worked in the field of easel graphics. Works of outstanding graphics are presented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
