Fontana

Exhibition January 22 − February 22, 2019
Exhibition "Fontana»Revisits the career of one of the most innovative artists of the twentieth century, Lucho Fontana, and shows works covering his career, including original paintings, drawings and ceramics from the 1930s to the late 1960s, which demonstrate his lifelong interest in experiments.

The exhibition explores the origins of Fontana as a sculptor. The artist found great pleasure working on ceramics throughout his career. By the end of the Second World War, the Fountains ceramics had reached the peak of baroque exuberance. Despite the fact that traditional themes continue in the artist's later works, Fontana's ceramics is becoming more abstract, and its decoration, color and texture are influenced by his theories of spatiality.
