Exhibition April 17 − July 21
Utrecht, Caravaggio and Europe
Exhibition Utrecht, Caravaggio and Europe, developed jointly with the Central Museum in Utrecht, will present more than 70 of the most beautiful and important works of leading caravaggists, including Bartolomeo Manfredi, Jose de Ribera and Valentin de Boulogne. The exhibition explores the differences between the European followers of the Italian innovator. Submitted works on the basis of themes demonstrate how each artist followed fashion, preserving their own cultural roots.

The exhibits provided museum and private collections throughout Europe and the USA, including the Vatican Museums, the Louvre in Paris, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, and the church in Rome. The exhibition includes works by Orazio Gentileschi, Gerrit van Honthorst, Dirk van Baburen, Hendrik Jans Tebruggen and others.
