Sorolla. Spanish master of light
Exhibition March 18 − July 7, 2019
“Sorolla. Spanish light master- the first in more than a century exhibition of the impressionist Joaquin Sorolla in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to see a retrospective of the master's works outside his native country.
The exhibition includes more than 60 works covering the whole career of Sorolla - from bright seascapes, views of the garden and scenes with bathers, to portraits, landscapes and genre scenes from the life of compatriots. Many paintings came from private collections or from other countries.
The exhibition is organized by the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Ireland in collaboration with the Sorolla Museum in Madrid.
