Paul Klee. Unstable equilibrium

Exhibition February 13 − April 29, 2019
CCBB Sao Paulo presents an exhibition“Paul Klee. Unstable balance ", which for the first time unites in Latin America more than 100 Swiss works. Prepared specifically for the Brazilian public, the exhibition includes more than 120 works of the artist, as well as his personal belongings.

Paul Klee experimented with cubism, expressionism, constructivism and surrealism, but his work is still difficult to squeeze into the framework of a particular style. The unique work and talent of the designer allowed the artist to achieve his own visual expression, strengthening its central role in the history of modern art.

Paul Klee studied painting and drawing in Munich at the end of the XIX century. He taught at Bauhaus, the cradle of modernism and the world's first design school. The heritage of the master, consisting of more than four thousand works, today is mainly concentrated in the Paul Klee Center. The museum is dedicated to the preservation, cataloging, distribution and research of the life and work of the artist.
