The exhibition presents works by Jacek Malczewski, Zofiya Strynska, Tadeusz Makovski, Witold Voitkevich and many other artists living both in Poland and in other places. The war and the struggle for the independence of Poland are presented, as well as its main characters, immortalized in paintings and portraits of Wojciech Kossak, Stanislav Fabiysky, Wladyslaw Vanka, Leopold Gottlieb and Leon Vychulkovsky.
A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to the Polish-Soviet war and its image in art and propaganda. The culmination of the exhibition was the creation of the Sejm in 1919.
