Franz Radziwill. The two sides of the artist
In connection with the acquisition of the new painting “Lowland Road, Port Varel” (1938) by Franz Radziwill, Pinakotec of Modernity in Munichpresents work one of the most important artists of magical realism. The focus is on his relationship with the national socialist regime, branding as a “degenerative artist” and early expressionist experiments in the traditions of the Most group (Der Brücke).

Some pictures painted on two sides of the canvas are presented in shop windows that allow viewers to see both images.
