Escher X Nendo. Between two worlds

The first exhibition in the world takes place in the National Gallery of Victoria "Escher X Nendo. Between Two Worlds"On which are presented the extraordinary works of the Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher in dialogue with the work of the famous Japanese design studio nendo. This is a dispute of one of the most recognizable artists of the 20th century with one of the most inventive designers of the 21st century. The exhibition includes more than 150 of the most famous Escher's prints and drawings from the Gemeentemuseum collection in The Hague and the work of the Nendo design studio.

As one of the leading design studios in the world, Nendo uses its unique design approach to manage geometry, space and perception, creating its work inspired by the skill of M.C. Escher.

The exhibition explores the form and space, drawing, symmetry, tessellation and metamorphosis.
