The sweetness of life: three paintings from the Frick collection

The Norton Simon Museum announces a specialinstallations of three 18th century French paintings from the Frick collection in New York. These artfully constructed ideas about life and fashion, presented by Francois Bush, Jean-Baptiste Simeon Chardin and Jean-Baptiste Greuse, give viewers an intimate look at the lives of French middle-class women of the 1740s and 1750s.

The paintings will be installed in the 18th century Rococo Gallery in the museum, among which are the works of Chardin and Bush, as well as paintings by Jean-Antoine Watteau and Jean-Honore Fragonard.
