Visions of Goya in Ink
Exhibition April 30 − November 3, 2019
ThisExhibition talks about the recent acquisition by the Meadows Museum of Goya's exceptional Vision drawing from his Album of Witches and Old Women. This very personal and technically perfect drawing will be presented along with Goya prints and related items, including “Separating” and “Bordeaux Bulls”.
Other selected works from the museum collection of early 19th century paintings and paper works will illuminate the fascinating historical and artistic context of Goya’s innovative and deeply personal views. Didactic materials will also give an idea of the exceptional technical qualities of creating a picture.
