Born in 1941 in Zacatecas, Mexico, painter and illustrator Antonio Castro lived and worked most of his life on the El Paso / Juarez border.
This
Exhibition shares his vision of our region through more than two dozen paintings and illustrations created over sixty years. The exposition explores Castro's figurative painting, which is characterized by religious and mythological images, as well as autobiographical elements and personal symbols.
Together, the paintings, illustrations, books and materials presented at this exhibition testify Castro's skill as a draftsman and his vision of life and culture in El Paso.
