Karas Gallery in Kiev presents the exhibition of Yuri SivirinWhalers". The author's work is a consistent visual criticism of postmodernism: systematically working through large arrays of visual information, the artist chooses fragments and motifs for his works. The main technique that determines the plots of the pictures is quoting, the ability to oppose the ascetic norms of totalitarian society to the collective unconscious Internet community.
Yuri Sivirin was born in 1983 in Kiev. Graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Since 2007 - member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Sivirin combines teaching in an art studio, exhibition activities and activities as a curator. Now the artist lives and works in Kiev.
