Exhibition November 29, 2018 − October 29, 2019
Exhibition "In the house: recent acquisitions"is a collection of mostly contemporary works acquired by the Honolulu Museum of Art over the past few years.
The exhibition provides visitors with an opportunity to see firsthand how recent acquisitions bring new emphasis to the collection, as well as expand existing areas of interest.
Selected works are organized around themes, including abstraction, nature and the environment, portraits and figures, sculptures and preparatory drawings related to three-dimensional images.
The exhibition features works by Robert Brady, Robert Colescott, Llyn Folks, Jane Hammond, Claude Horan, Winnifred Hudson, Andre Kertes, Sanit Heavhok, Cheryl Lamml, Hollis Sigler, Donald Sultan and others.
