Papel chicano dos", represents 65 works of 24 well-known and emerging artists, whose paintings demonstrate a variety of techniques from watercolor and aquatint to pastels and mixed media.
Famous artists include Carlos Almaras, Charles “Chaz” Bojorkes, Pablo Andres Christie, Carlos Donjuan, Gaspar Henriquez, Sonya Fe, Emmanuel Galves, Margaret Garcia, Roberto Gilles de Montes, CC Segura González, Raul Berneto Géreto Utare Utara Urtre Ghetarette, Uglénénénio Méretto Utara Utera. “Magu” Luhan, Cesar A. Martinez, Glujo “Gronk” Nikondra, Venceslao Kiroz, Frank Romero, Sonya Romero, Ricardo Ruiz, John Valadez and Vincent Valdes.
The works in "Papel Chicano Dos" date back to the late 1980s and now remind about the influence of pre-Hispanic symbols and post-revolutionary nationalist Mexican motifs on the 1960s Chicano movements and modern urban culture.
Fine art has been an integral part of the Chicano movement and continues to be a powerful tool for the Mexican-American community to voice the problems that affect them today.
