Bobby is a self-taught artist with 35 years of open air painting experience. She is a print master and a member of a group of craftsmen affiliated with the Southwest India Foundation in Gallup, New Mexico. Bobby is exhibited around the world, with works in the collections of several national museums and galleries.
Bobby focuses on the landscape of the Four Corners district where she lives. “Earth is my family, my ancestors; this is who I am and all that I have ever known. ” Bobby began painting and photographing at the age of about five, with the strong support of her mother Minnie Emerson. She now lives with her wildlife husband husband, Joseph Jenike, in Tochaty, New Mexico, on the Navajo reservation.
