Paints of the motherland. Painting by Nuri Planzhiev

Exhibition May 17 − June 17, 2019
On the 75th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people from the Crimean peninsula, an exhibition is held at the Lviv Museum of Religious History "Paints of the Motherland. Painting by Nuri Planzhiev". And the exhibition includes 37 works by the artist. The paintings depict a kind of idealized image of the Crimean nature: birds of paradise and flowers, landscapes in which the artist’s bright individuality is manifested.

Vladimir Pugin (Planzhiev Nuri) was born in 1938 in the Crimea. In 1944 he was deported with his mother and relatives to Central Asia. In 1979 he moved to Melitopol, where he worked as an electrician, and free time he painted. The retired artist managed to devote himself entirely to his beloved work. Participant of numerous exhibitions.
