Art preserve

Museum V.A. Tropinin and Moscow artists of his time is an exhibition project "The art of preservation"dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the museum.

The exhibition offers visitors the most significant works from the museum, including the famous portrait of Prince S.M. Golitsyn brushes V.A. Tropinin, portrait MS Begichev work I.Ya. Vishnyakova, chamber paintings F.S. Rokotov, salon images in the works of academician SK Zaryanko and German painter K.I. Lasha. The theme of artistic travel will reveal the work of outstanding landscape painters of the nineteenth century - S.F. Shchedrin, A.P. Bogolyubova, I.K. Aivazovsky.

“The exhibition features many biographies and destinies, they tell about“ Moscow after the fire ”, and about the beautiful era of secular Salons, and about the European artistic fashion. Here, not only about the life of the depicted models, but also about the works themselves, about the art of preserving them, ”the museum director Olga Zhuravleva tells about the exhibition.
