In the exhibition halls of the Russian Academy of Arts is held a personal exhibition of Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Ksenia Nechitaylo (1942-2019) “Lost letter”.

The exposition covers more than forty years of the artist’s complex creative biography, from the turn of the 1970s through the 1980s up to today, and includes about sixty paintings and twenty sheets of easel graphics from private collections and the collection of the author's family. Many of the works on display have been created in the last decade.

Picturesque canvases by K. Nechitailo, who have gone through a serious evolution, are characterized by a game with spatial effects, bold combination of genres, associativity, a combination of lyrical and confessional intonation, coming from the tradition of Russian portrait, with an expressive manner, irony and grotesque. In each composition of the author, portrait and even the landscape, the natural moments of being acquire a symbolic sound. Her grotesque images are imbued with the author's experience. The works of Ksenia Nechitailo are kept in the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, art galleries and museums of Vologda, Krasnoyarsk, Novokuznetsk, Orenburg, Perm and other cities of Russia, in a number of museums and private collections in Germany, Holland, USA, France.
