Valentina Tsvetkova

In the gallery NYU ART a personal exhibition is held. Valentina Tsvetkova. Private collectors provided for the exhibition more than 60 works in the genres of still life, landscape, portrait. An unusual fusion of colors, a celebration of the sun, air and light, is born in these paintings. The motives of the works are simple and unsophisticated - flowering garden and ornamental southern plants: Japanese quince, almond, lilac, mimosa, wisteria, magnolia.

Valentina Petrovna Tsvetkova (1917 - 2007) was born in Astrakhan. She graduated from the Astrakhan art school. In 1937, a young artist arrived on the southern coast of Crimea, in Yalta. She took an active part in regional and republican exhibitions, traveled and participated in foreign exhibitions in France (1967 and 1968), Canada (1970). In 1985, Valentina Tsvetkova was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. The works of the author were presented in museums of Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Canada, Japan, the USA and France.
