Ilya and Sasha Chichkan. Psychodarvinism: Eternal Values

Kiev "Karas Gallery" presents the exhibition of Ilya and Sasha Chichkan "Psychodarvinism: Eternal Values". The exhibition will traditionally include works with the image of monkeys, created in different techniques - painting, applique and collage. The project addresses the themes of globalization and evolution, calls into question the rationality of religion, politics, and modern technologies, ridicules the consumer society.

“The confrontation between those who joyfully spend money on garbage, and those who cannot afford it, is the main conflict that divided society,” the artists note.

Ilya Chichkan was born in 1967 in Kiev, where he lives and works. One of the brightest representatives of the art movement "New Wave". His work was presented by the PinchukArtCentre at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009. The artist participated in many group and individual exhibitions.
