Kronstadt raid

Exhibition July 1 − August 31, 2019
In Kronstadt in the building M.K. Anikushina opened the exhibition of the main Russian marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky "Kronstadt raid".

The exhibition includes paintings and album drawings from the collections of the Russian Museum, the Peterhof Museum-Reserve and the Central Naval Museum, as well as paintings by Aivazovsky from private collections that were previously inaccessible to a wide audience. Total visitors will see 35 works of the famous painter.

The choice of the place for the exhibition is symbolic - it is from here that the young talented artist set off on a voyage on the ships of the Baltic Fleet, in which his unique style of transmitting the play of water and light originated.

Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (Armenian Hovhannes Ayvazian; July 17 (29), 1817, Theodosia - April 19 (May 2) 1900, Theodosia) - the most famous Russian marine painter, one of the most famous and successful masters of his time. During his life, Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky wrote more than 6,000 works. His paintings are presented in museums and private collections around the world.
