The Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts by Sergey Andriyaki presents a solo exhibition Yuri Nikolayevich Volkov.
The exhibition presents the viewer more than 100 paintings by the artist, most of which are made in the technique of genre oil painting.
According to the art historian V.I. Tatarinov: “The most valuable thing in the work of Y.Volkov is painting itself - a living letter, the molding of objects is delicious, accurate in color and tone. He is not only a master of landscape and a subtle colorist, but also an excellent portrait painter, although here, too, psychological characteristics are given through color, and the painting itself is of paramount and decisive importance. In his paintings and sketches there is something that excites, touches the soul that it is impossible to identify and touch - a sure sign of the talent and presence of God's gift. ”
