TANDEM
Exhibition 11 − July 23, 2019
The Kiev Center for Contemporary Art "White Light" presents a group exhibition "TANDEM". The exposition includes ex-libris of more than 60 graphs from Ukraine and the Czech Republic. A wide range of printed graphics is shown in all the variety of topics and techniques: lithography, and various types of intaglio printing, and linocut. Among Ukrainian artists are Konstantin Antyukhin, Oleg Denisenko, Roman Romanishin, Konstantin Kalinovich, Alexey Fedorenko and others. From the Czech side, their works will be presented by Karol Demel, Martin Manoilin, Peter Minka, Vlastimil Sobota and other outstanding masters of exlibris.
The project was created jointly by the center of modern art "White Light", the Ukrainian Exlibris Club and the Czech Association of collectors and lovers of exlibris.
Artistic bookplates are printed works of art. They are created by various engraving techniques - engraved on copper, wood or linoleum, performed in a zinc or lithographic way. Among the authors of artistic ex-libris are such prominent artists as Albrecht Dürer, V. A. Favorsky and many others.
