Exhibition "
Arte Extraordinario"showcases the work of various groups of artists, each of whom shares a legacy associated with Hispanic cultures in North and South America. Some of these artists may identify themselves as Latinx, an alternative gender-neutral term for Latina or Latino, which is rapidly becoming popular, especially among the younger demographic group. The exhibition covers a wide range of genres - from figurines to landscape and abstraction, as well as various topics, including politics, activity , humor, family, and religion. Many of these artists are rooted in California, and some are recognized nationally or internationally for works that challenge, criticize, innovate, or inspire. Thanks to the generosity of a few patrons, all works of art are recent acquisitions or promised gifts that will remain part of Crocker’s permanent collection.
