Dmitry Kurovsky. Protective film

Exhibition July 26 − August 14, 2019
Gallery "Bunkermuz" in Ternopil presents a personal exhibition of Dmitry Kurovsky "Protective filmbut". The exhibition includes works of the last decade, made in the techniques of oil and acrylic painting, assemblage and digital art. The main motive is the psychedelic rethinking of images of popular culture - from everyday objects to the key persons of music and cinema.

Creativity of the author is both a unique expression of the ideological content of the Ukrainian rock underground and the reception of a painful and dramatic modernity. Collage - the main method in the artist's arsenal - conveys the paradoxes and conflicts of our reality, in which any aspirations and dreams are forced to reckon with numerous restrictions.

Dmitry Kurovsky was born in 1971 in Chernigov. He graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Arts. The artist and musician, the leader of the multimedia formation Foa Hok, who for many years has been working at the intersection of such styles as pop art and art brut, is constantly experimenting with new materials.
