Larisa and Irina Godunov. Wooden ancient world

An exhibition of Larisa and Irina Godunov is held in the National Museum "Kiev Art Gallery"Wooden ancient world". The exhibition includes about seventy paintings and graphic works from the heritage of the creative tandem. The theme of the current exhibition was born in a unique area of the city of Sednev, which is in Chernihiv region. The focus is on mighty trees that have absorbed the echoes of many eras. The artists through the energetic drawing conveyed the exceptional mood of magnetism in space and time. Building on the amazing realities of primeval nature, the authors turn them into a secret and incomprehensible myth, resorting to the language of symbols and personal fantasy.

Larisa Godunova was born in 1946 in Kiev. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1978. She graduated from Kiev State Art Institute. She studied in the workshop of T. N. Yablonskaya. In the works of the artist - works of monumental and easel painting.

Irina Godunova was born in 1973 in Kiev. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2000. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Works in the field of easel and monumental painting, icon painting. In the work also photographic works. After registration in 2004–2008, the Church of the “Barefoot Carmelites” in Berdichev worked on the murals of the Church of St. Alexander in Kiev.

The artists have repeatedly exhibited their works, participated in the museum project "Family Art Tradition".
