The Long Museum in Shanghai hosts a personal exhibition of the artist Mark Bradford “
Los Angeles”, Which is organized in conjunction with the Art Museum of the Dragon and the Mark Bradford Studio. The exhibition includes paintings and sculptural works.
The author is known for his large-scale abstract paintings that are devoted to issues of class, racial and gender inequality. Bradford raises pressing issues for American society. The materials used by him are designed to emphasize the diversity of society. The artist uses fragments of found posters, billboards, newspaper clippings, combining in his work the traditions of ready-made and abstract painting.
Mark Bradford was born in 1961 in Los Angeles. He graduated from the California Institute of the Arts. In 2017, he represented the USA at the 57th Venice Biennale. Participant of numerous exhibitions.
