Olafur Eliasson. In real life

Exhibition July 11, 2019 − January 5, 2020
"In real life"- a fascinating installation by Olafur Eliasson, where visitors will be able to realize their feelings, the people around them and the world around them.

Some works of art represent natural phenomena, such as rainbows, in gallery space. Others use reflections and shadows to play with how we perceive and interact with the world. Many works are the result of the artist's research in the field of complex geometry, models of motion and his interest in color theory. All but one of the jobs have never been seen in the UK before.

Eliasson has long been working with Tate Modern. Its shining sun, the Weather project, attracted over two million people to the Turbine Hall in 2003. More recently, Ice Watch in 2018 brought pieces of ice from Greenland to London. This exhibition will provide another unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

Visitors will also encounter a new amazing waterfall sculpture located on the terrace behind the gallery. Eliasson Falls in 2019 is characteristic of its fusion of nature and technology, as well as its constant exploration of how we think and react to the environment. The 11-meter-high sculpture is a continuation of the Eliasson Waterfalls series, previously held in cities around the world, including Sydney (1998), New York (2008), São Paulo (2011) and Versailles.
